Deteriorating law and order situation in Punjab responsible for attack on Sukhir Badal
CHANDIGARH: Chandigarh: National President of Anti Terrorist Front India and International Head of Vishwa Hindu Takht Veeresh Shandilya today met Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria and discussed serious issues related to increasing terrorist activities and security in Punjab.
During this, he raised many important demands, including security of religious places and strict action against Khalistani activities. Surendra Pal KK, Manish Pasi, Goldie Pahwa and many front members were present on this occasion. Anti Terrorist Front India chief Viresh Shandilya demanded a high-level inquiry from the Governor to investigate the attack on Shiromani Akali Dal's Sukhbir Singh Badal.
He called this incident a result of deteriorating law and order in Punjab and demanded strict action against the guilty Khalistani terrorist. Shandilya also demanded deployment of central security forces at all major religious places in Punjab. He said that the threat of terrorist and radical activities at religious places is constantly increasing, to stop which the central government should take strict steps.
During the meeting, Viresh Shandilya also demanded the immediate arrest of radical Barjinder Singh Parwana, who threatened Bageshwar Dham chief Dhirendra Shastri. He said that such radicals are a threat to the peace of Punjab and the country and strict action should be taken against them. He also demanded the transfer of Khalistani terrorist Balwant Singh Rajoana from Patiala jail to Tihar jail. Shandilya said that it is dangerous for such terrorists to stay in Punjab.
Talking to reporters after the meeting, Veeresh Shandilya appealed for a strict law on Khalistani activities. He said, “A law should be made to shoot Khalistanis on sight so that the integrity of Punjab and the country can be maintained. Shandilya urged the Governor to direct the Punjab government to make a strict law against Khalistani activities and pass a resolution in the Assembly. Shandilya appealed to the Governor to cancel the cases registered against Hindu leaders who made statements against terrorist Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale in Punjab.
Taking seriously the memorandum submitted by Anti Terrorist Front India, the Governor sent the memorandum to the Home Ministry and has given written orders to the Punjab government for action. Veeresh Shandilya said that he will not make any compromise regarding the security and peace of Punjab and his fight against anti-national elements will continue.
