AMRITSAR: SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami strongly condemned the use of computer technology to distort the picture of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) used in the advertisement issued by the Punjab government to seek suggestions on centenaries and said that this act of the government is a big game with Sikh sentiments.

Delhi Connection

The Punjab Government advertisements are prepared and released by a non-Punjabi from Delhi, appointed by Arvind Kejriwal. Such blunders are expected from AAP appointees who dont know ABC of Punjab and damn bother about sentiments of Sikhs.

He said that before publishing any picture related to Sikhism, the government should have contacted the Shiromani Committee. Advocate Dhami said that Sri Darbar Sahib is the center of faith of Sikhs and Sikhs all over the world keep the image of this holy place in their hearts. The wrong image created with AI technology has not only played with the devotion and faith of the Sikhs, but has also made a shameful move to contradict the spiritual aura of Sri Darbar Sahib that resides in the soul of the Sikhs.

The Shiromani Committee President said that despite finding hundreds of pictures of this life-giving holy place of the Sikhs, Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib on the internet, the act of tampering with it by computer is extremely saddening, about which the government should clarify and immediately apologize.

Advocate Dhami said that celebrating centenary celebrations is the responsibility of the Sikh organization Shiromani Committee, while the government's duty is to carry out development work in cities related to Guru Sahib, develop road infrastructure and establish appropriate memorials after discussing with the Sikh organization Shiromani Committee.
