KAPURTHALA: The District Police on Monday gave a warm send off to IPS Rajpal Singh Sandhu on his appointment as DIG/PAP-II besides extending welcome to newly appointed SSP Vatsala Gupta, a-2016 batch IPS officer.
After taking charge as SSP Kapurthala, Vatsala Gupta said that battle against drugs would remain continue till its complete wiping out as the efforts against the menace would be further intensified in days to come. She also pointed out that law & order would also be maintained at all cost since none of the anti-social elements would be spared. The SSP also directed the police officers/officials to address public issues on priority to further boost policing amongst general public.
Earlier, a warm send off was given to IPS Officer Rajpal Singh Sandhu, who has been recently posted as DIG/PAP-II, showering flower petals on him by the police officials. Police band was playing melodious tunes during farewell to the officer at Police Lines here. Terming his duties at Kapurthala a wonderful stint, DIG Rajpal Singh Sandhu said the cooperation extended by the officials and public was highly appreciable. He also called upon officials to perform their duties with utmost dedication and professional commitment in future too. He also interacted with the officials at Police Lines.
Pertinently, IPS Vatsala Gupta has served as DCP Headquarters at Amritsar & Jalandhar, ADCP Jalandhar and ASP Nakodar. SP Headquarters Tejveer Singh, SP Investigation Ramninder Singh, Phagwara SP Gurpreet Singh, SP PBI Surinder Kumar, DSP Special Branch Amrik Singh Chahal, DSP Headquarter Satnam Singh, DSPs Gurmeet Singh, Ashok Kumar, Harpreet Singh, Harvinder Singh, Dr Manpreet Kaur, BHARAT Bhushan, Babandeep Singh, Jaspreet Singh and SHOs of all police stations were also present on the occasion.
