Portraits of four personalities including Muslim poet Allah Yar Yogi installed in the Central Sikh Museum

AMRITSAR: Baba Hazara Singh, head of Karseva Samprada Guru Ka Bagh, former Jathedar of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib Sri Anandpur Sahib Giani Harcharan Singh Mahalon, Sangeet Mart and Padmasree Professor Kartar Singh and Martyrdom of Sahibzades Pictures of Alh Yar Khan Jogi, who recorded the narrative in poetic form, were decorated in Central Sikh Museum within Golden Temple complex here today.

The ceremony of removing the curtain from the pictures was performed by the head Granthi of Sachkhand Sri Harimandar Sahib and Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh, while on this occasion Giani Balwinder Singh, Junior Vice President of Shiromani Committee Bhai Gurbakhsh Singh Khalsa, member S. Surjit Singh Bhittewad, Jathedar Mahinder Singh Hussainpur and Secretary of the Shiromani Committee. Pratap Singh was also present.

Addressing on this occasion, Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh said that the foremost institution of the Sikh community respects them by installing the pictures of the personalities who performed services in the Panthic area from time to time in the Central Sikh Museum.

He said that among the pictures that have been decorated today, Baba Hazran Singh Karseva Guru Ka Bagh people have contributed a lot in the construction of the Gurdwara Sahib, they also broke the jail during the religious war front and by conducting Amrit Sanchar at the Guru Mati ceremony. Guru fought the Sangat. Similarly, the former Jathedar of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, Giani Harcharan Singh Mahalon, also has great services for the propagation of the Sikh panth. He served as the Jathedar of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib from 1980 to 1987 and was also active as a member of the Shiromani Committee. He said that similarly Padmashri Professor Kartar Singh also has a valuable contribution in the field of Gurmati music.

While he propagated Gurmat music through raga-based kirtan and ancient art stringed instruments, he also published 7 books related to Sangat. Giani Raghbir Singh talking about Allah Yar Yogi said that he has narrated the martyrdom of the Sahibzades of the Tenth Patshah Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji in poetic form through Shaheedani Wafa and Ganji-e-Shaheed, which is an inspiration for the Sikh Sangat.

On this occasion, Hazuri Ragi Bhai Bhupinder Singh's group performed Gurbani Kirtan and prayers were offered by Bhai Prem Singh. Meanwhile, Junior Vice President of Shiromani Committee Bhai Gurbakhsh Singh Khalsa, Secretary S. Pratap Singh also expressed his views about the life of the personalities who were photographed while addressing. The personalities present on this occasion were also honored by giving Guru Bakshish Siropao.
