Police issued challan of Covid Test-41 to 823 persons without masks

NAWANSHAHR: Senior Superintendent of the Police Nawanshahr Alka Meena said that following the guidelines issued by the Punjab government regarding Corona epidemic, the district police today accompanied by various medical teams in the district visited the various public places. Covid tests were conducted on 823 persons while challans of 41 persons were booked for violation of Covid Restrictions while roaming without masks .

SSP appealed to the residents of the district not to be negligent about the covid guidelines and not to go out of their houses during lockdown and night curfew. She also said that this deadly disease should not be taken lightly and vaccine should be given for the prevention of corona. SSP said that the media vans of Saanjh Kendra and the Chief Officers of the police stations were also continuously sensitizing the people to take precautions against Covid. She said that wearing masks at all times, maintaining mutual distance and following the guidelines and instructions issued for covid should be ensured so that the district could be made covid free.
