AMRITSAR: Amritsar transporters strongly condemn hike in petrol and diesel prices. Jaspal Singh, a transporter, while talking to Punjab News Express, said that the transport work was in bad shape due to Carona and now the government has dealt a major blow to the transporters.

AMRITSAR: Amritsar transporters strongly condemn hike in petrol and diesel prices. Jaspal Singh, a transporter, while talking to Punjab News Express, said that the transport work was in bad shape due to Carona and now the government has dealt a major blow to the transporters.

He appealed to the government to reverse the hike in petrol and diesel prices.

"An increase in diesel prices will usually put a burden on expenses as the price of everything will go up," he said.

Petrol and diesel prices rose for the ninth consecutive day on Wednesday. Petrol and diesel prices have risen 21 times so far in 2021. In total, petrol and diesel prices have gone up by about Rs 6 per liter.
