DHARAMSALA: The Dehra police of Kangra district have arrested the seventh accused in connection with the liquor shop robbery that took place earlier this year in Sikra Da Paroh under Rakkad Police Station.
Superintendent of Police (Police District Dehra) Mayank Chaudhary, IPS, informed that on March 20, 2025, a group of criminals carried out a robbery at a liquor shop. Following the incident, case number 22/25 under section 310(2) of the BNS was registered at Police Station Rakkad.
Acting swiftly, the police team arrested six of the accused within 24 hours of the crime, including two minors. Continuing the investigation, the police on August 18, 2025, arrested another accused identified as Amarjit Singh (25), son of Balveer Singh, resident of Karahal Kalan in Kapurthala district of Punjab.
So far, the police have recovered ₹6, 000 in cash, a Tata Venture car, and several weapons used in the crime including a kirpan, dagger, khanda, baseball bat, and a glove from the possession of the accused.
With the latest arrest, all suspects in the case have now been apprehended, and further legal proceedings are underway, officials said.
