FEROZEPUR: As per the court order from Jodhpur zone of Mamdot, after the recount of Zila Parishad elections, Congress candidate Naseeb Singh Sandhu won the Zila Parishad elections today in the presence of Cabinet Minister Punjab Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi.
He was sworn in as a member at the council hall.
Expressing his happiness, Naseeb Singh Sandhu said that he was not declared the winner in the 2018 Zila Parishad elections due to rigging and rigging. Seeing this, when he knocked on the door of the court, a recount was held on the orders of the court, after which he was declared the winner with 202 votes.
He said that he would fulfill the responsibility entrusted to him diligently.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Arun Kumar, Sharanjit Singh, Karnail Singh, Chairman Ved Prakash, Vice Chairman Surjit Singh, Davinder Singh, President Amrik Singh, Gurjant Singh were present on the occasion.
