AMRITSAR: The Guru Nanak Dev University Inter-Department Football Competition concluded in the football ground of the University with excitement and sportsmanship. A total of 29 Boys and 19 Girls teams from various departments showcased their athletic prowess in the spirited event.
In the Boys Section, the Department of Electronics secured the top position, followed by the Department of Physics in 2nd place and the Department of Computer Science in 3rd. The MYAS GNDU Department of Sports Sciences and Medicine displayed commendable performance, securing the 4th position.
In the Girls Section, the Department of Law emerged victorious in 1st place, followed by the USFS in 2nd place and the Department of Physics in 3rd. The Department of Computer Engineering secured the 4th position.
Dr Bimaldeep Singh, Head of the Department of Law, and Dr Amandeep Singh presented trophies to the winners at the awards ceremony. Dr Amandeep Singh, Teacher In-charge of GNDU Campus Sports and Nodal Officer for the FIT INDIA Program, Government of India, expressed satisfaction with the participation and the competitive spirit displayed by all teams.
Dr. Bimaldeep Singh said that GNDU Inter-Department sports competitions reflects the university's commitment to promoting physical fitness, camaraderie, and a culture of healthy competition among its diverse academic departments.
