Review of the performance of the Health Department by the Deputy Commissioner

KAPURTHALA:The benefits of the health facilities provided to the people by the Punjab Government should reach every section of the society. These words were uttered by Deputy Commissioner Kapurthala Deepti Uppal during the meeting of the District Health Society.

The Deputy Commissioner, however sought detailed information about Covid and asked for maximum sampling of cases with comorbid condition.
The Deputy Commissioner also discussed other programs of the Health Department such as Maternal and Child Health Facilities, Immunization Program, Family Planning Program and said that every facility provided by the government to mother and child during pregnancy and no child should be deprived of immunization .
The meeting also discussed the upcoming Migrant Plus Polio Round in November. She said that along with Covid, dengue should be stopped from spreading in the district.

Civil Surgeon Dr. Surinder Kumar said that the health department was committed to provide better health facilities to the people. He said that the health department has intensified its activities to control dengue. In a meeting with the private labs, he was asked to immediately inform the health department if any dengue patient comes to him. Civil Surgeon Dr. Surinder Kumar also said that a field survey on dengue was being conducted by the teams of the health department and people were being sensitized to prevent dengue and malaria.

Regarding the sampling of comorbid condition cases, the Civil Surgeon said that he has instructed all the teams in the field that no one with comorbid condition should be deprived of corona sampling.

On this occasion SDM Varinderpal Singh Bajwa, Assistant Civil Surgeon Dr. Dr. Ramesh Kumari Banga, District Health Officer Dr. Kuljit Singh, Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr. Sarika Duggal, District Family Welfare Officer Dr. Raj Karni, District Dental Health Officer Surinder Mall, District Immunization Officer Dr. Asha Mangat, Senior Medical Officer Dr. Tara Singh, Dr. Rajiv Bhagat, Dr. Sukhwinder Kaur and others were present on the occasion.
