Punjab Government fixes covid-19 treatment rates for private hospitals

KAPURTHALA: Deputy commissioner kapurthala Mrs Deepti Uppal said that the government of punjab has fixed the treatment rates for covid-19 patients in private hospitals, nursing homes and clinics.

She said that the hospitals would have to charge as per these rates and the hospitals which would charge more than that would face strict actions.

The approved rates are applicable for isolation wards only for special isolation rooms patients may be charged maxim per day per patient Rs 4, 000/- Besides that for moderate sickness all private medical colleges, prvivate institutes with teaching program having isolation beds including supportive care and oxygen would be 10, 000/- including cost of PPE Rs1200/- Besides that NABH accredited hospitals could charge maximum Rs 9, 000/- and non NABH accredited hospitals may charge Rs 8, 000/- . She further said that the hospitals treating the severe sickness patients with ICU without need for ventilator could charge Rs 15, 000/- by the private medical colleges and private institutes whereas NABH accredited hospitals could charge rs 14, 000/- and non NABH accredited hospitals could charge rs 13, 000/- for the same.

The patients having very severe sickness and treated in ICU with ventilator care could be charged by all private medical colleges and private institutes with teaching program has been fixed for Rs. 18, 000/- NABH accredited hospitals would Rs. 16, 500/- and non NABH accredited hospitals could charge Rs. 15, 000/-
