PATIALA: The Gian Sagar Dental Hospital run by the Gian Sagar Educational and Charitable Trust has as a goodwill gesture decided to provide free dentures to senior citizens for one month. The scheme which was launched last week has seen encouraging response.
Disclosing this, a hospital spokesman said that dental surgeons of the hospital are available for a free dental checkup during working hours during this month-long programme. He said that the hospital had also started holding free dental checkup camps in villages in the vicinity of the hospital since last week. Free cleaning of teeth is also being undertaken at these dental camps.
As of now almost 25 senior citizens have already got themselves registered for provision of free dentures. Dental specialists were also educating villagers about oral hygiene at these free camps, said the spokesman.
The spokesman said that the hospital has already started multi super specialties in almost all branches of medicine, surgery and dentistry besides having the best pathological laboratories which are equipped with the best machines. The hospital is located on the Rajpura-Chandigarh highway.
