Is 7.5-hour ‘Dhurandhar’ director’s cut hitting theatres on April 5, or just an April Fools’ prank?

MUMBAI: Rumours around filmmaker Aditya Dhar’s ambitious 7.5-hour director’s cut of "Dhurandhar", starring Ranveer Singh, have sparked curiosity online, with claims suggesting a limited theatrical release on April 5.

As per reports, the extended version combines the duology ‘Dhurandhar’ and Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ has surfaced through a CBFC certificate dated March 31, 2026.

However, when IANS reached out to the makers, they were unavailable for comment. There is still no clarity or official statement regarding the ongoing news. As per a source close to IANS, this could also be an April Fool's joke.

Dhurandhar stars Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Gaurav Gera and Danish Pandor.

Backed by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, the film will be showcased in premium formats including IMAX and Dolby Cinema, with select theatres hosting two shows per weekend.
