The District Electoral Officer and the Commissioner of Police reviewed the security of the counting centers

AMRITSAR: Regarding the counting of votes on March 10, District Election Officer Mr. Gurpreet Singh Khaira and Commissioner of Police Dr. Sukhchain Singh Gill visited the counting centers of 11 assembly constituencies in the district and inspected the security arrangements.
On the occasion District Electoral Officer Mr. Khaira said that the arrangements for counting of votes have been completed and about 1100 employees have been posted for this purpose. He said that counting of votes would start at 8 am. He said that 14 counting tables have been set up in each counting center. On this occasion Mr. Khaira also interacted with the concerned Returning Officers and employees and directed all the employees to be present for their duty at 6 o'clock in the morning. The District Electoral Officer said that a media center has also been set up in each counting center for the convenience of the press journalists.
He said that no one would be allowed to carry mobile phone inside the counting center.
On this occasion, Commissioner of Police Dr. Sukhchain Singh Gill said that security arrangements were complete in all the counting centers. He said that any mischievous elements around the counting centers would be closely monitored.
He said that no one would be allowed to take his vehicle inside the counting center and vehicles would be parked at the parking lot.
