CHANDIGARH: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has got a major boost in Jalandhar during the bye-election when senior Congress leader and former Chairman of Improvement Trust Paramjit Singh Rai and leader Leather merchant BJP leader and social activist Steven Kaler joined AAP in presence of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
Paramjit Singh Rai said that he was impressed by the people friendly policies of AAP and major steps taken to improve health and education system in the state. He extended full support to AAP.
Steven Kaer too promised full support to AAP candidate and said that he found AAP government is working to make Punjab a prosporous state. Steven Kaler is associated with Dera Ballan and has strong foothold in the Ravidass community. He belongs to an educated family of Jalandhar. He is also president of Butta Mandi Guru Ravidass temple. He said that he would ensure victory of AAP candidate Sushil Kumar Rinku. Senior AAP leader Jagrul Singh Sekhwan and Jagbir Singh Brar were also present on this occassion.
