GURDASPUR: District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Mr. Mohammad Ishfaq informed that it was brought to the notice of the political parties / candidates to take various permissions regarding campaigning for the Assembly Election-2022. They have to go to various departments / officers in the district / constituency, due to which it is very difficult for them to get NOC.
In view of the above, various teams have been constituted under Section 26 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 to set up a single window system at district level and constituency level to facilitate the process of issuing permits.
These include district level single window permissions such as vehicle permits (within the district), helicopters and helipads, video / digital vans. Permission granted on RO (Returning Officer) level single window such as meeting and loudspeaker, corner meeting and loudspeaker, permit to take out Process and loudspeakers (permit to take out procession and loud speaker), vehicle permit, temporary party office opening, air balloon, loudspeaker permit in vehicle, door to door publicity, distribution of pamphlets, banners and flags etc.
He said that District Level Single Window Team consists of Vijay Kumar Superintendent (62837-23168) DC Office Gurdaspur (Team Incharge), Sarabjit Singh Multani (98728-48718) Senior Assistant DC Office, Paramdeep Singh (95019-32070). DC Office, Amarinder Singh (96463-17710) District E-Coordinator, Varun Kumar (62801-00670) District E-Coordinator Gurdaspur. These team in-charges will coordinate the candidate / applicant with the following nodal officers for permission to complete the required formalities and will be responsible for issuing permits through single window.

All the Nodal Officers will send NOCs of their respective departments to the District Level Single Window Team and similarly depute the officers / staff of their office with the Single Window Team established at RO level.
