Assembly Elections-2022- Nine candidates withdraw their nominations, now 26 left in fray now

NAWANSHAHR: With nine of the candidates have withdrawn their nominations on Friday on the last day of withdrawal, 26 candidates are now left in fray for the three assembly constituencies where the polling would be held on February 20.


As the details available, Banga Returning Officer Navneet Kaur Bal said that Kamaljit Banga and Harmel Singh have taken back their nomination papers. Returning Officer Nawanshahr Dr Baljinder Singh Dhillon said that Guriqbal Kaur, Lalit Mohan who have filed two additional nominations, and Jaskaran Singh Dhamrait have withdrawn their candidatures in Nawanshahr Assembly segment.


Balachaur Returning Officer Deepak Rohella said that Ashok Kumar, Baljit Singh and Harwinder Singh have withdrawn their candidatures in Nawanshahr Assembly segment.
The polling for three assembly segments would be held on February 20 and counting would be carried out on March 10.
