PHAGWARA: With an aim to ensure for free and fair elections in kapurthala, the Static surveillance teams deployed across the distr today recovered unaccounted cash worth Rs.6.16 lakh in bholath and Phagwara assembly constituencies.
District electoral officer kapurthala Mrs Deepti Uppal said that Rs. 3 lakh have been recovered at high tech naka at Dhilwan by the SST from a Alto car no PB 36 H 0807.
A DDR has been Registered at Dhilwan police station against the Aman S/O Billu from Ratanpura Phagwara and Gurwinder Singh S/O Balbir singh from Phagwara. The SST has seized the amount and informed the income tak officials. Besides that in Phagwara the flying squad has recovered Rs. 3.16 lakh unaccounted cash in a car no PB 06 AF 4464 from Rakesh kumar and Vinod Kumar both residents of Dina nagar and sukhraj singh village beas in Jalandhar. The unaccounted cash has been deposited in the Government treasury.
