Wanted in murder case, Nihang Amritpal Mehron who fled to UAE has offered to surrender through his lawyers

CHANDIGARH: Nihang Amritpal Singh Mehron wanted for murder of social media influencer Karam Kaur alias Kanchan Kumari has offered to surrender through his advocates Ghumman brothers. Mehron had fled to UAE hours after murder of Kamal Kaur while two of his accomplices in the crime were arrested by Bathinda police.

Kamal Kaur was allegedly strangulated on the night between June 9 and 10. Mehron snatched mobile phones of Karam Kaur and forced her to reveal passwords. Two co accused Jaspreet Singh and Nirmaljit Singh alongwith Amritpal Singh Mehron travelled from Moga to Ludhiana in a scorpio. Mehron had lured the influencer to come to Ludhiana to promote a business and offered her money.

The dead body of Kamal Kaur was recovered on June 11 from parking lot of Adesh Medical University Bathinda. Mehron had escaped to UAE in a flight from Amritsar International Airport. Police has started his extradition process.

Ghumman brothers told media that murder was result of porn content posted by Kamal Kaur who is not a Sikh but belonged to some other state. They said that police shall also register FIR in the case of vulger content.

The police has also nominate Ranjit Singh of Tarn Taran and an unidentified person who helped Mehron to escape abroad.
