Two travel agents including woman booked for duping Bilga village resident of Rs 8 Lakhs

PHILLAUR:The Bilga police have booked two travel agents including a woman for allegedly duping a Bilga village resident of Rs.8 Lakhs on the pretext of sending him abroad.
The investigating officer (IO) Mohan Lal said that the accused have been identified as Sudesh Kumari a resident of Bambianwal village under Sadar Jamsher police station and presently living in Armenia and Kulwindar Kumar alias Sonu a resident of Mitharra village .

IO said that Kuljit Heer a resident of Poadharra village complained to Jalandhar(rural) senior superintendent of police (SSP) that he paid Rs 8 lakhs to the accused for facilitating his migration abroad but he was not send abroad nor returned the money.

IO said that a case under sections 406 (breach of trust), 420 (cheating) of the IPC has been registered against the accused after an inquiry.

In another case The Lohian Khas police booked travel agent Gurprit Singh son a resident of Fateh Pur Bhangwan village on the charge of duping Gurdip Singh a resident of Nahal village of Rs 10.10 lakhs on the pretext of sending him abroad, said investigating officer Avtar Singh
