PHAGWARA: Corona's wrath continues in the city. Two Persons breathed their last due to Corona while 77 persons were tested positive for Corona in Phagwara on Monday.
The deceased have been identified as Gurmeet Kaur and Raman Taneja.
SDM Phagwara Shayari Malhotra PCS told this correspondent here today that Bhagatpura locality was declared as containment zone and five teams of health department have been deployed for sealing the streets numbered 1 to 5 to check the spread of corona. Senior Medical Officer Dr. Kamal Kishore said that 150 samples have been taken from people in Mohalla Bhagatpura. Meanwhile, MLA Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal along with officials visited the area and appealed to the people to save their precious lives. District Epidemiologist Dr Rajeev Bhagat while giving details told that total 13660 persons have been tested positive for corona till so for, from which 12135 patients were cured. He told that 107 persons were tested positive in the district.
