Special Court orders police inspector to be detained for an hour in Bakhsikhana. Released after an hour

KAITHAL: In a shocking development during the hearing of a case in the special court of Kaithal, In the case the State of Haryana vs Gaurav, the court ordered the investigation officer Inspector Rajesh Kumar to be detained for one hour for continuously being absent from the testimony during past hearings of the case in the court.

After the order, the police kept him in Bakshikhana (room made for prisoners) located in the court premises from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. According to the information, Inspector Rajesh Kumar is currently posted as SHO in Badabudha police station of Sirsa district. He is accused of not coming to testify despite being called by the court several times.

For this reason, the court had issued non-bailable warrants against him on August 29. When he reached the court for testimony on Thursday, he was ordered to be kept in custody. It is pertinent to mention here that this case is related to the murder that took place in a village in Siwan police station area of Kaithal- in the year 2021. Complainant Rajveer Singh had lodged an FIR for the murder of his nephew Manish and at that time the responsibility of investigation was with Inspector Rajesh Kumar. Prisoner escort in-charge Sub Inspector Suresh Kumar said that the Nayab Court, Reader and ADA first instructed him to putInspector Rajesh in Bakshikhana on verbal orders. However, the written order was not provided on the spot. About an hour later, when the order was received from the court, the said inspector was brought out of Bakhsikhana and again produced in the court.
