NURMAHAL:The Bilga police have booked Jaspreet Singh son of a resident of Kang Arayin village under Phillaur police station in a dowry harassment case. Complainant Ball Ranni daughter of Des Raj , a resident of Talwann village, who is to Jaspreet Singh , had filed a complaint to senior superintendent of police, Jalandhar (rural), that her husband had been harassing her and demanding more and more dowry since her marriage and assaulting her .
\The investigating officer Baljit Kaur said a case under sections 323(voluntarily causing hurt), 498-A (husband or relative of a woman subjecting her to cruelty) and 406 (breach of trust) of the IPC has been registered against the accused and further investigations are on.
