Attempt to Murder Case Registered After Labourer Shot in Kapurthala
PHAGWARA: Police have registered a case against four named accused and two to three unidentified persons after a labourer was allegedly shot and assaulted at a private commission agency in the Sultanpur Lodhi .
According to the FIR, complainant Karandeep Singh alias Kannu alleged that his friend, Sunny Kumar, sustained gunshot injuries after he was allegedly fired upon by one of the accused, while the others assaulted him with weapons before fleeing the spot on motorcycles.
Police have booked the accused under Sections 118(1), 109, 190, 191(3) and 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). One accused, Kala Singh, has been arrested, while the remaining accused are absconding. Further investigation is underway.
