PHAGWARA:Aninmate youth identified as Sahil Parvesh who was arrested under NDPS act on November 2 and was on three days police remand attempted unsuccessfully to escape from police custody when he was coming out after producing before judicial magistrate Phagwara after completing his police remand on Wednesday Evening. SSP Kapurthala Satinder Singh said, ASI Udhey Bhan and a Head Constable Major Singh were going to tie handcuff on the arm of the accused when the accused pushed them back and escaped, but they raised alarm, chased him and succeeded to nab the accused with the help of other cops. SSP said a case under section 224 IPC has been registered against the accused. The accused was facing several other criminal cases also.The nabbed accused was again produced before judicial magistrate who sent him in judicial jail for 14 days.(EOM)
