Week long Kala Utsav concludes from young dreams to lifelong strength.

CHANDIGARH: The week long Kala Utsav 2025, an event aimed at promoting arts in education concluded from young dreams to life long strength on Monday. It was organized by the Samagra Shiksha Education Department Chandigarh Administration at PM Shri GGMSSS, Sector 18, Chandigarh showcasing the rich cultural diversity of India. The event saw 5460 students participation from 29 schools, including government, government aided and private institutions participated with great enthusiasm. .

The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries including Ms. Neena Kalia, Dy. Director II, School Education, Ms. Indra Beniwal, Mission Coordinator, Samagra Shiksha, and Ms. Manjeet Kaur, Principal-cum-Nodal Officer, GGMSSS-18.

A panel of renowned experts comprising Dr. Jaswinder Kaur, Principal (retd) from MBG Government College Pojewal, Sr. Balkar Sidhu, Retd. Assistant Director, Language Department, Punjab, and Ms. Sunita Nain retired deputy director, Education Department, Haryana, evaluated the performances based on MoE/NCERT guidelines and declared winners. .

GMSSS, Sector 21, Chandigarh walked away with first prize; second prize awarded to DPS, Sector 40, Chandigarh and PM Shri GGMSSS Sector 18, Chandigarh; while third prize given to GMSSS, Sector 35 D and GMHS Sector 38, Chandigarh. Moti Ram Arya Model School Sector 27-A, Chandigarh was awarded consolation prize. All congratulated the winners and applauded all the participants for their enthusiastic involvement. Such events encouraged students to honing their skills for lifelong strength.

During the event, winners and participants from various schools were felicitated with mementos by the dignitaries as a token of appreciation. Competitions were held across multiple categories. A panel of judges evaluated the performances to finalize the winners, who were felicitated on the occasion.
