CHANDIGARH: Veteran journalist N.S.Parwana who was for long time associated with Hind Samachar group died at Mohali and he was cremated today in Mohali.
His son S.P.Singh lit the pyre. Immediately after the cremation S.P.Singh was arrested by Punjab Vigilance Bureau for his alleged involvement in a land fraud case in PSIEC. Seven other officers of corporation were arrested yesterday.
N.S.Parwana was highly respected journalist and was active even at the age of 90. His cremation was attended by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, BJP leaders Sunil Jakhar and Balbir Sindhu and SAD leader and former minister Daljit Singh Cheema beside large number of relatives and journalists.
