CHANDIGARH: Municipal Corporation Chandigarh today celebrated The World Earth Day by raising consciousness about the Ill effects of Plastic.
CHANDIGARH: Municipal Corporation Chandigarh today celebrated The World Earth Day by raising consciousness about the Ill effects of Plastic.
Special drives were conducted in market areas of 22 and sector 8 and the sabzi mandi. Cloth bags made by NGOs were distributed to customers and Shopkeepers who are using alternatives to plastic were honoured.
Anandita Mitra Commissioner of MC said that in an attempt to fight the heat, MC, alongwith Warrior Moms have also set up earthen ware filled with water for birds, under its Daana Paani initiative.
