Chandigarh Music and Film Festival kicks off with a bang

CHANDIGARH: The first day of the 3rd Chandigarh Music and Film Festival started with a bang at the Municipal Bhavan in Sector-35A, Chandigarh that was well received by film buffs, students and budding filmmakers who thronged in large numbers to witness the participation of industry professionals and renowned filmmakers including Rajender Gupta, Vinay Pathak , Yashpal Sharma, Jaswinder Bhalla, Binnu Dhillon, Bal Mukund, Sachin Ahuja, BB Verma, Ratan Aulakh , Malkit Rauni, Ketan Anand, Gavi Chahal, and Rajesh Sharma.

The festival's opening day featured a variety of feature films and short films . Attendees were treated to interactive experience with leading film makers, actors, directors and producers, offering valuable insights into current trends and techniques prevalent in the cinema industry.

Sharing his views, Mr Rajesh Sharma, the director of the Film Festival, said, “We are overjoyed to see the overwhelming response on the festival's opening day. It's great to see such positive response from a diverse range of people, from aspiring filmmakers to seasoned professionals, celebrating the art of cinema."

The day 2 and 3 of 3rd Chandigarh Music and Film Festival is scheduled to be held at Chandigarh University.

Sharing his views, Vinay Pathak Actor of the Bollywood , said, “Chandigarh Music and Film Festival is a great platform for emerging talent in the film industry to showcase their work and connect with established professionals. It is heartening to see the level of enthusiasm and passion in the audience, and I am sure that The festival will continue to grow and evolve in the years to come.”

Sharing his views, Mr. Yashpal Sharma , an acclaimed Bollywood actor, said, "Films and music know no boundaries as they express feelings and it's wonderful to see the enthusiasm and passion for cinema among the people here. I believe festivals like these are important to encourage and nurture young talent in the film industry."

Sharing his thoughts, Fammous Punjabi Industry actor Jaswinder Bhalla said, "I am happy that I got the opportunity to participate in this festival. The people of Punjab have given me and my characters a lot of love and I hope that my upcoming movie Carry on Jatta 3 will also be loved by the audiences.

The day also showcased short films, including Zetta (The Loom) directed by Djamal Bacha, Manav Hain directed by Yogesh Sharma, Disowned directed by Mukesh Sharma, Lunatic directed by Akshansh Singh, Bhaiya Ji Smile directed by Mayyank Sharma, Brinda directed by Nisha Luthra, Why We Afraid directed by Rubyn Chaudhary, Dada Lakhmi directed by Yashpal Sharma, Mission Performance directed by Jatinder Sairaj, Shikastgi directed by Rishav Raj Kapoor, I Exist directed by Neeraj Jangra, Ankur directed by Kamakshi Sharma, and An Artist directed by Varun Garg.
