Tourism Awareness Walk

CHANDIGARH:Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Hotel Management Catering and Nutrition,
Sector 42-D, Chandigarh,  an autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism, Government
of India arranged an awareness walk for the students to the Capitol Complex Chandigarh
here on Wednesday.
  The main objective of the activity was to create awareness about tourist spots in and
around the city beautiful. Under Institute’s Tourism Club, the said activity was immaculately
planned and implemented. Around 11 students hailing from different states were
shortlisted & 3 faculty members were assigned for the awareness drive. During the day
spent at the Capitol Complex the faculty members and the students took a guided tour of
the Complex that proliferated awareness about the city’s awe-inspiring landmark.
  Principal, Mr Sitesh Srivastav, believes that “The City Beautiful has a lot to offer for
tourists, and increasing awareness with such stepping stones can be a preferred tourist
destination in future.” A student named Nirbha Jallan commented “There is lot to explore in
Chandigarh, with many unexplored destinations. She further added that she would like her
family & friends from Chattisgarh to come & witness the beauty of Chandigarh.
  Ms Shilpi, faculty further added that “September is an action-packed week for the
institute with a plethora of activities planned and with the students gradually reporting back
to college it is promising to be an exciting one.”
