Students selected in the state level painting competition mark their foot prints at national-level painting competition

CHANDIGARH: Students selected from the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) at state-level painting competition 2025 performed exceptionally well at the national-level competition. Their achievements show the success of BBMB’s efforts in encouraging young students to learn and express ideas about energy conservation.

Anuj Prince of S A Jain Senior Model School, Ambala, Haryana, secured the First Prize in Group-A and Khushbu Yadav of Class 7th, GSSS Shikohpur, Gurugram, Haryana won third prize in Group-A of the

National Level Painting Competition 2025, displaying outstanding creativity and talent. Tamanna of DAV Public Sr. Sec. School, Rajpura, Distt Patiala, Punjab also got appreciation in Group-B for her artwork during the competition. The winners were felicitated by the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu during National Energy Conservation Awards 2025 held at New Delhi on December 14, 2025.

s the Nodal Agency for Haryana, Punjab and Chandigarh, BBMB coordinated state’s participation in the campaign. Under the aegis of Ministry of Power, BBMB collaborated with Bureau of Energy Efficiency, State/U.T. Governments, Education Departments and other agencies to organize School and State Level Painting Competitions.

This year more than 25 lakh students from more than 29, 000 schools across Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh participated in School Level Painting Competition. From this pool of participants, 300 talented students were shortlisted to compete in the “On-the- Spot State Level Painting Competition, ” held at Indradhanush Auditorium, Panchkula, on November 20, 2025. The students’ creative depictions of energy conservation themes showcased a profound understanding of sustainable practices and innovative ideas.

Subsequently, 18 outstanding students (six from each State/UT) were selected to represent Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh at the National Level Painting Competition, held in New Delhi on December 11, 2025.

Terming it as a proud moment for BBMB, Chairman BBMB Manoj Tripathi congratulated all the winners and their parents. He said that involving young people was very important for building a sustainable future for India.
