Interactive Session by UNICEF and LLF at RCED

CHANDIGARH: An interactive session was organized at Regional Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (RCED) for the ongoing batches from UNICEF. The motive of the session was to make the students aware about the Passport to Earning (P2E) platform- an initiative of UNICEF that empowers the students with the 21st century skills.

The session started with the greeting from the RCED team and a welcome address note by Mr. Paramjit Singh (Director, RCED) followed by the interaction by Mr. Ashish Basu, Head - P2E, UNICEF, India. The members from the Language and Learning Foundation (LLF) Mr. Sudeep Dubbey (Head Skills and Entrepreneurship) and Ms. Jyoti were also the part of the session.

The students were given the idea about the 21st century skills and job skills that P2E platform provides which is an online training platform that equips the learners with skills that are most demanded at the workplace. With this session, they wanted to reach the marginalized youth with skills they can gain through this platform. Throughout the session, emphasis was laid on how important it is to gain skills in today’s time for example: Digital productivity, problem solving, communicate and working with others, Financial literacy etc.

Feedback was also collected from the students In order to check the awareness of the skills amongst the students. They took inputs from the students to modify their platform and also asked for the suggestion from them. The students appreciated the initiative which encouraged the team to continue with it.
