CHANDIGARH: A day after murder of a youth in Zirakpur two days back, another youth, a former student leader of Panjab University Chandigarh was shot dead today by unidentified miscreants.
The deceased has been identified as Gurlal Brar former president of Student Organisation of Panjab University(SOPU). was shot dead outside Playboy nightclub at Emporium mall in Chandigarh's Industrial Area, Phase- I on Saturday night. Brar belonged to Kotkapura in Faridkot district. He was presently residing in Mohali.
He was also wanted by Chandigarh Police in some cases. He reportedly came to Chandigarh last night with his freind Sandeep to attend birthday party of another friend. Brar was rushed to PGI Chandigarh where he succumbed to his injuries. More details are awaited.
