CHANDIGARH: Darshan Lal Sharma has been elected Vice President of Wrestling Federation of India in the recently concluded General Council meeting of WFI held at Noida recently.Darshan Lal had been serving as Joint Secretary of Wrestling Federation of India for a long time and has done a commendable job owing to which General Council unanimously elected him Vice President.
It is pertinent to mention here that Darshan Lal was the Manager of Indian wrestling contingent in Asian Games held at Jakarta in 2018 and had served as Joint Secretary of Wrestling Federation of India for last three terms, He has been the chairman of selection committee of Indian wrestling team as well.
After getting this news wrestling circles of Chandigarh and neighboring areas are elated and are planning to organise a facilitation programme for Darshan Lal.
