Chandigarh NSS Cell organizes Webinar to mark Anti-Terrorism day

CHANDIGARH--State NSS Cell, NSS Open Unit, Chandigarh organised a virtual webinar for NSS volunteers to mark anti-terrorism day here on Friday. Occasion was graced by distinguished guests Prof. Bikram Singh Rana, former OSD-Education cum SLO, NSS who delivered the keynote.

In his keynote, Prof Rana motivated youth to inculcate the spirit of nationalism considering global instability and terror acts across the globe and congratulated NSS Open Unit for the noble initiative of national interest under celebration of NSS days.

A special lecture on Indian National Security and Crubing Terrorism was delivered by Defence Expert Dr. Nishant Turan, Director at TIDES Defense Academy who elaborated key aspects of Strategic Studies in this National webinars of Defense and Strategic issues. It was joined by students of Defence Studies from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, Panjab University, Chandigarh and Manipur University.

Role of NSS, in organizing Anti-Terrorism day was highlighted by Mr Rajkumar Verma, NSS Youth Officer, Regional Directorate, Chandigarh. He called upon the youth to groom their community by refraining it from the acts of aggression, domestic voilent and other social conflicts to live together.

NSS Programme Officer Er. Binesh Bhatia during the webinar shared his Defence Expertise how to safeguard National interest for peace building measures to bring harmony in our nation state.

The webinar lasted for about two hours. Over 100 participants joined the webinar followed by question and answer session with expert panel. At the end, Prof. Rana, the Advisor to NSS Open Unit congratulated back end team for all technical support and smooth functioning of national seminar.
