CHANDIGARH : Education Department Chandigarh presented a cultural Bonanza on the eve of 74th
Republic Day with great patriotic zeal and fervour.. The adviser to the administrator Mr. Dharam pal graced
the event as the chief guest.Education secretary Ms. Purva Garg, Director School Education Mr.
Harsuhinderpal Singh Brar and other officials from the Education Department also registered their
presence. We Excel a software company donated 100 tablets to government schools under their CSR
activity to equip students with self paced learning.
The theme of the function was 'Promotion of traditional games and indigenous toys'. On one
hand students showcased the cultural richness of the country, On the other hand they showcased the
milestones our country has achieved so far. The event echoed with patriotic fervour.
The students from private and government schools presented a spectacular show which was
highly appreciated by the chief guest in his address. Worthy Adviser commended the education
department's efforts in uplifting the level of education in the city he further highlighted the significance of the
day, and made the children aware that the future of the country lies in their hands.
The grand cultural bonanza ended with the national anthem in sign language presented by
specially abeled students. The education department had streamed the entire event live on their official
YouTube channel.
