Blood Donation Camp organises by SKNSET at PGI, Chandigarh

CHANDIGARH: Around 125 volunteers blood donors donated 76 units of blood at the first blood donation camp held at PGI here on Saturday. The camp was organized by the Sumna Kumari Nishkaam Sewa and  Education Trust (SKNSET) in collaboration with State NSS Cell, UT Chandigarh on the occasion of New Year.

The occasion was graced by Mr. Bikram Rana, SLO, Chandigarh NSS Cell along with Mr Chhotu Sharma, Founder, CS Group, Mr K.S. Saini, Director, SIOC, and Prof. Devinder Singh (Department of Law, Panjab University). Dignitaries have also motivated volunteer donors during the camp. Volunteers of NSS Open Unit empanelled by State NSS Cell assisted in smooth execution of blood donation camp at Trauma Centre, PGIMER Chandigarh.

NSS Programme Officer Er. Binesh Bhatia deputed a team of 10 dedicated NSS volunteers for the camp who motivated community for blood donation throughout the process. All donors were felicitated with appreciation certificates along with SKNSET Mugs as a memory for Blood Donation by distinguished guests at PGI, Chandigarh.

Bikram Singh Rana, SLO, Chandigarh Administration and guests heartily congratulated Mr Gaurav Thakur Founder and Chairman of SKNSET to initiate this noble cause.
