5-day Kala Utsav concludes in Chandigarh

CHANDIGARH : Amid Blistering performancesw, the 5-day city Kala Utsav- 2022-23, organized by the Directorate of School Education, Chandigarh, under the agies of Samagra Shiksha concluded here on Saturday at Chitkara Internation School.
A total of 48 participants (26 girls and 22 boys) presented their presentation during the kala utsav. The winners of state level competition participated in 10 different art forms – Vocal Music (Classical), Vocal Music ( folk), Instrumental Music (Percussion), Instrumental music (Melody ), Dance ( classical), Dance ( Traditional), Visual art (2D), Visual art
(3d), Traditional Toys and Games and in Solo Acting category.
  The winners of the event are Diksha of GMSSS-38; Karanveer Singh of GMSSS-38 notched the first position while Loveleen Kaur of GMSSS-56; Yana Bakshi GMSSS-18;
Avijit of Ankur School; Keshav of GMSSS-26 got second position and Palak Sharma of DPS- 41; Bhavika Thukral of AKSIPS and Manraj Singh of GMSSS-35; Aman of GMSSS-27 got third position.
The Utsav was attended by the students and teachers of government as well as private schools of city. The participants enthralled the audiences with their scientillating performances. Speaking at the concluding day, Director School Education, Chandigarh, Mr
HPS Brar, emphasized the need to promote art integrated learning. He also stressed the need to up-bring the potential of students in the field of art and culture at institutional level. He said its aims to promote art by nurturing and showcasing artistic talent. Such
events provide plateform for budding talent to judge their aptitude among others.
At the concluding day of the event winners were distributed awards.
