Vaccination camp organized at RBU

MOHALI: A special Covid-19 vaccination camp was organized at the Rayat Bahra University here on the initiative of Sahila Bahra, Vice-President (Academics), of the Rayat Bahra Group of Institutions. A team of doctors led by Dr Manjit Singh of Civil Hospital, Mohali, administered the vaccination to the eligible staff members and employees.

Dr Gurfateh Singh, Head of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Dr Neena Mehta, Dean, Student Welfare, said that all medically fit and eligible employees voluntarily got vaccinated. The camp was spread over two days for the convenience of the employees.

Dr Manjit Singh said that the second vaccine would be administered to these employees after six to eight weeks in accordance with the protocol.

Sahila Bahra lauded the initiative of the employees who came forth to get vaccinated. She also reiterated the commitment of the university management for welfare of the faculty and staff members of the university. She said that vaccination is critical for Covid spread and it’s the only way to stop its spike. She urged all above 45 to get vaccinated as soon as possible and there is no fear in it.

Dr Parvinder Singh, Vice-Chancellor, said that all those who are eligible should be motivated to get vaccinated at the earliest.

Speaking n the occasion Dr Gurfateh Singh said that people should be alert and aware and the Rayat Bahra University employees who are above 45 years must get their vaccination done.
