Rayat Bahra University hosts Shakti art marathon ‘21

MOHALI: The Rayat Bahra University accorded a rousing reception to the participants of the "Shakti Art Camp Marathon 2021".  Rayat Bahra University "Shakti Art Camp Marathon 2021" is a collaboration between Shryansy International (India), Saint Petersburg Center for Humanitarian Programmes (Russia) and the Bhartiya Kalakar Sangh.

Sahila Bahra, Vice-President (Academics), said this project is a regular offline series of camps, where participants paint live. The art camp marathon is aimed at empowering women through art and expression. The idea behind this marathon is to promote artisans, preserving culture and heritage and conserving nature and environment.

Dr Parvinder Singh, Vice-Chancellor of the Rayat Bahra University, said that starting from Delhi, this art camp marathon is being organised in different important towns including Bikaner, Kota, Mumbai and Jaipur. The final exhibition will take place in Jaipur on March 8.

The selected artists from these camps will be eligible to take part in the next international projects. In June in Himachal Pradesh, working with artists from different countries would participate. A SocioCultural Project 2021, is planned for December next.
All these projects are based on the same format. There would be multiple destinations with different set of artists for each location.

Shryansy International, Jaipur, is managed by Shryansy Manu (Artist/Management expert) and
Yunus Khimani (Artist, Academician and Museum Expert, former Director, City Palace, Dean of Indian Institute of Crafts and Design, Jaipur). Shryansy International conceptualizes, develops and implements various types of events in the field of culture and art.
