CHANDIGARH: Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, has granted a Golden Chance to students of UG, PG and Professional courses of the University who have exhausted all permissible chances to clear their degrees.
Controller of Examinations Prof Jagat Bhushan informed that the Golden Chance will be applicable to Semester System courses from admission year 2014 onwards for UG courses and from 2011 onwards for PG and Professional courses. The examination will be conducted along with the End Semester Examinations in April/May 2026 for even semesters. At present, candidates can apply only for even semester papers.
Prof Jagat Bhushan stated that students who do not have any reappear chances left can apply to clear their Reappear, Compartment, Full Subjects, Improvement, Additional, Deficient or Missed Practical papers under this special provision. He informed that the online application portals for even semesters 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th and 10th are ugexam.puexam.in for UG courses and pgexam.puexam.in for PG and Professional courses.
The portal will open on February 12, 2026 and close on March 11, 2026. All applications must be submitted online only.
The fee will be Rs. 7, 500 per semester for UG courses and Rs. 15, 000 per semester for PG and Professional courses. A 50 per cent concession in fee will be available for SC and ST candidates.
He further clarified that the mode of examination will be offline only.
Students have been advised to follow the prescribed syllabus as per the Guidelines for Golden Chance Syllabus available on the University website under the Examination section, Golden Chance link, Notice Board, UG and PG.
