Over 850 join workshop on heartfulness

MOHALI: The University School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Rayat Bahra University organized a 7-day virtual workshop on Heartfulness Enabled Leadership Mastery (HELM), a unique NEP 2020 initiative for complete campus excellence, in association with Heartful Campus of Heartfulness Institute, Kanha Shantivanam, Hyderabad.

This 7-day workshop course with one hour session each day helped the participants learn positive attitude from the virtual workshop, said Dr Gurfateh Singh, Head of the University School of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Vice-Chancellor Dr Parvinder Singh, Rayat Bahra University, while inaugurating the workshop said belief in inner engineering which can serve as a core for all young students to give their best according to their potential.

Prof OP Katare, who is presently working as Heartfulness Meditation trainer and working as Professor in Panjab University, Chandigarh, on this occasion explained the activities of the Heartful campus. Heartfulness Education Trust, the education wing of Heartfulness Institute, launched the “Heartful Campus” an initiative to bring the best within the students by balancing the heart and mind.

Prof Amrik Singh Ahluwalia, Professor and Pro Vice-Chancellor in Eternal University, HP, spoke on human value and well being.

Brig Narinder, who is Heartfulness Meditation trainer and zonal incharge, said over 500 educational institutes, universities had been benefitting with the Heartfulness programmes for students and faculty.

Dr Ankit Kotia, another Heartfulness Meditation trainer and state coordinator for Heartful campus, said over 850 aspirants from across the country had registered for the workshop. He gave an overview on the vision and mission of Heartful Campus.

Dr Neena Mehta, Dean, Student Welfare, Rayat Bahra University, proposed a vote of thanks on the completion of the workshop.
