Oakridge International School organized workshop in which 25 Schools of Nepal and North India participated

MOHALI: Oakridge International School organized workshops for 25 schools of Nepal and North India. 371 teachers from these 25 schools participated in 'Virtual Job Alike Session'. The teachers of Oakridge International School presented 25 sessions which enriched the learning of the community that helps children to gain conceptual clarity through experiential learning.

A wide variety of topics included like the importance of play and power of stories while the topics that are the need of the hour such as digital citizenship, evidencing learning, and hybrid learning were discussed. Specialty disciplines such as dance, drama, library, and design thinking were also among the favorites of the participants.

The Principal of the school Ramanjit Ghuman, said that the school focuses on skill enhancement and continuous professional development of teachers. All teachers get trained by the training programmes offered by IBO and through online Nord Anglia University. Being a part of a global chain of 73 Nord Anglia Schools, Oakridge International School teachers are equipped to transact the international curriculum. She further added that that such professional gatherings offer an opportunity for the teacher community to come together, meet like-minded people, share practices, and be reassured of one’s practices.
