CHANDIGARH: Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) Landran threw a vibrant freshers’ party, ‘Jashan 2022’ to welcome its new students. The Miss and Mr Fresher 2022 contest was the most anticipated highlight of Jashan 2022.
Kajal of CBSA, CGC Landran was crowned ‘Miss Fresher CGC 2022’ while Zorawar Singh, CEC, CGC Landran was conferred with the ‘Mr Fresher CGC 2022’ title. The winners were selected on basis of their confidence, presentation and intellectual skills. Gurleen, CEC, CGC Landran and Vikas, CBSA, CGC Landran were declared the runners up, respectively. They were felicitated with trophies and certificates by the judging panel comprising actor, singer & model Sweetaj Brar, Ms Punjab 2022 Ranwinder Dhillon and Sanam Bariar, Model & Actor.
The campus at CGC was imbued with happiness as it saw energetic participation from freshers and their seniors alike. A scintillating performance by CGC’s music band set the ball rolling for the event. Energetic dance presentations in Western, traditional and fusion genres followed suit. A special skit showcasing the uniqueness of college life was also staged by CGC students. Solo performances in singing, dance and mime acts followed by a thrilling and vibrant Bhangra performance added to the charm of the Freshers’ party at the institution. The cultural performances were interspersed with various rounds of the ‘Miss and Mr Fresher 2022’ contest. The participants competed in three rounds consisting of ramp walk and self-introduction, a quiz round and the final Question and Answer round. Post the announcement of the winners of Ms and Mr Freshers’ contest the house was opened to the eagerly awaited DJ party which saw students dance away to their heart’s content.
Satnam Singh Sandhu and Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal extended their best wishes to the new batches for a successful career and future.
