MOHALI: A three-day Hackathon was organized at Rayat Bahra University in collaboration with Samsung Innovation Campus, bringing together innovative young minds to develop creative, technology-driven solutions to real-world challenges. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the student teams who demonstrated exceptional coding expertise, analytical thinking, and teamwork throughout the competition.
The Hackathon was inaugurated by Chancellor, Gurvinder Singh Bahra, who motivated budding innovators with his inspiring words and emphasized the significance of innovation, industry collaboration, and experiential learning in shaping future leaders. Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar and Executive Director Prof. (Dr.) Sahil Verma also graced the occasion and encouraged students to transform their ideas into impactful and scalable solutions.
The participating teams presented a wide range of innovative projects addressing contemporary issues through technology. The submissions were evaluated by distinguished industry experts, including Amandeep, CTO & Co-Founder of Bytecode Technologies Pvt. Ltd., and Dildeep Singh, Founder & CTO of 2B Innovations. The jury appreciated the students’ creativity, technical proficiency, and problem-solving approach while offering valuable feedback to enhance their ideas further.
The Hackathon sessions were further enriched by the presence of industry expert Sachin Mishra, Vice President – BD & Strategic Partnerships at Focalyt, who shared insightful perspectives on industry expectations, strategic growth, and the importance of cultivating an innovation-driven mindset. Jasveer Kaur, Senior Academic Coordinator at Focalyt, also extended continuous academic guidance and encouragement to the participants throughout the event.
Adding vibrancy to the technology-driven atmosphere, students also showcased their talents through a captivating cultural performance, reflecting the spirit of holistic development at the university. The jury members commended the feasibility, creativity, and potential social impact of the projects presented.
