MOHALI: The Department of Electrical, Electronics & Communication Engineering of Rayat Bahra University celebrated Engineers’ Day with great enthusiasm.
The event was organised under the guidance of Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Group Vice-Chancellor Prof (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar, and Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Satish Bansal. It was attended by Prof. (Dr.) Anmol Goyal, Dean, USET, and Er. Sonal Sood, Head of the Department (ECE/EE). The programme was coordinated by faculty members Er. Gurinder Kaur and Er. Maninder Kaur, both Assistant Professors.
The celebrations featured a series of engaging activities including a Technical Quiz, Poster Making Competition, and Technical Speech Contest. Students actively participated in the events, showcasing their technical knowledge, creativity, and innovative thinking.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Group Vice-Chancellor, highlighted the significance of Engineers’ Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of the legendary engineer Sir M. Visvesvaraya. He urged students to carry forward his vision of innovation and nation-building. Dr. Satish Bansal also lauded the efforts of the department for organising such programmes that encourage practical learning and technical excellence.
Prof. (Dr.) Anmol Goyal, Dean, USET, emphasised the vital role of engineers in shaping the future and motivated the students to focus on research and innovation. Expressing gratitude to the management, Er. Sonal Sood, HOD (ECE/EE), congratulated the faculty coordinators and students for making the celebration a grand success.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks and a prize distribution ceremony, where winners and participants were applauded for their outstanding performances.
