Big achievement by RBU pharma experts

MOHALI: Faculty members of the University School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Rayat Bahra University have done the university proud as a chapter authored by them entitled "Comprehending Type II Diabetes Mellitus” has been published in the book entitled “Diabetes and Diabetic Complication; Current Status and Future Perspective’’.

The book has been published by world renowned publication house NOVA Medicine and Health, NOVA Publishers New York, USA.

The chapter has been authored by Dr Gurfateh Singh Head, University School of Pharmaceutical Sciences with coauthor Ramica Sharma research scholar, USPS, and Monisha Bansal.

The book gives an idea about various types of complications associated with Diabetes Mellitus. The pathways which are scrutinized for various drug molecules discussed in the book are somewhere linked with the new development of medicines. This book gives a clear cut idea about the pathogenesis, physiology and treatment of Diabetes Mellitus.

The book also gives a recent overview about Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and reasons for the mortality worldwide. It enlightens various recent molecular pathways that are associated with scrutinizing various drugs molecules and future useful for the management of Type 2 diabetes in the population.

Rayat Bahra University Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Vice-President Sahila Bahra, Vice-Chancellor Prof Parvinder Singh, Registrar Dr BS Satyal, and Prof Neena Mehta have congratulated the authors and expressed their best wishes.

They said that the commendable achievement is bound to give motivation to the students and research scholars.

Dr Singh has thanked the management and Vice Chancellor for their inspiration, motivation, platform and unstinting support in the completion of this study.
