MOHALI: Federation of Self Financing Technical Institutions (FSFTI), All India & Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) has urged All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, to exempt BBA BCA colleges of Country from getting AICTE approval.

Dr Anshu Kataria, President, FSFTI, All India & Adv. Amit Sharma, Senior Vice President, PUCA today met Sh. Rajive Kumar, Member Secretary, AICTE at New Delhi & requested him that since 1987 since the AICTE act was passed; BBA, BCA, BMS were never it's part. After almost 4 decades, suddenly bringing BBA BCA Colleges under its ambit is shocking.

Kataria further said that on one hand, New BBA BCA college will pay Rs 20, 000/- approval/ affiliation fee for each course & on other hand, existing AICTE approved Institutions will pay Rs 3.5 Lacs each for additional course resulting into increase in financial burden on students.

Kataria and Sharma also added that if AICTE does not relax the norms, then we will be forced to knock the door of the court.
