PHAGWARA: The women's softball team of LPU has clinched the coveted title at the All India Inter University Softball Women's Tournament. In a five day tournament, witnessed a fierce competition among 62 teams representing various universities from across the nation, with a total of 932 talented young athletes showcasing their skills and determination.
In a thrilling finale, LPU showcased their exceptional softball prowess and emerged victorious over their formidable opponents. The team's remarkable performance led them to secure the first position, defeating GNDU by an impressive margin of 10-2 points.
The tournament was graced by the Pro Chancellor Rashmi Mittal, as the chief guest. In her address, she emphasized the importance of providing equal opportunities and platforms for young women to excel in sports.
