India Vs New Zealand T20I

In November of last year, the two countries played three T20Is and three ODIs, with the majority of the matches being hampered due to bad weather conditions. After the T20I World Cup, the Indian team traveled to New Zealand to play a limited-overs series. India headed to New Zealand to defeat them, with one draw and one triumph, and they will meet again in less than two months. This time, India will play in their own region.

Indian Squad for the T20I

The Indian squad looks a little shaken since Rishabh Pant is replaced as the wicketkeeper by Ishan Kishan and KS Bharat. And on top of that, experienced batters like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will also not play in the T20l matches. Sources also confirmed that world-class pacer Jasprit Bumrah will also miss the matches due to injury.

The captain of the T20I team is Hardik Pandya, who has scored a total of 107 runs against New Zealand since 2016 in T20I matches and scored a total of 10 boundaries. Hardik strategically proved his worth before, and a hard hitter like him can definitely benefit India. The Captain, Deepak Hooda, and Washington Sundar, these three players are all-rounders among the 11 selected players for this upcoming T20I match.

On the other hand, the captain of the New Zealand team for this T20I 2023 is Mitchell Santner who scored a total of 98 runs in 18 T20I matches against India since 2015. Although he is a tough player, the Captain’s overall stats are nowhere near in comparison with Hardik Pandya, the rest is up to the strategic remarks of these two captains. There will also be only  3 all-rounders players in the New Zealand squad.
